Concrete Studies

The idea of the 10cm*10cm concrete models was inspired by Carlo Scarpa, an Italian architect who focus much on details. With his deep understanding on materials, landscape & history, he was able to create a different sensory  experience to the users in his space. Using Brion Cemetery as a reference helped to have a better understanding on the architect's themes, materials & methodologies.

With that, I had made 14 (first 3 rows) different  concrete models which could fully express the hidden side of concrete materials.
